About 77 percent of Finns belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church, so it’s safe to say most of the country celebrates Christmas. In most homes, however, Christmas has little to with religious traditions and more with eating traditional Christmas foods like ham and various fishes and casseroles and spending time with the extended family. For kids, it’s about getting presents and maybe even meeting the Santa Claus.
I haven’t been writing or taking photos for some months now. This year I decided to make most of my Christmas presents, so I have been knitting for a couple of months. Together with a friend of mine we decided to start posting what we make and so was this blog born. Just before my knitting frenzy I was swamped with education related business, developing online learning and teacher training.
Now I am looking forward to some quiet days before the spring term starts. Time for art, photography, reading and writing. Season’s Greetings to all of you who follow this blog. I hope you have had a chance to enjoy winter and the company of your loved ones.
Marry Christmas, and congratulations with your new blog. I was a knitter too (frenzy like), but I hope you will keep up with photograpy too. Very talented..
